I’ve been an absolutely terrible blogger over the past few months. But can you really blame me when the amount of work I had to do in order to prepare for my exams surpassed what I had expected when I started the year. Never have I ever been so nervous for getting my results this year. On the 16th of July at 11:00, the email came through and all thanks to God, I passed!
Going into third year is quite scary. Mainly because I’ve realised that this year sees the halfway mark of my life in medical school. Which means I’m only halfway to becoming a doctor.
I’m so excited for the year that lies ahead of me as I have a lot of things to look forward to. I’ll be living with a really good friend of mine in an adorable two bedroom flat that overlooks a castle. The start of the year sees the charities officers playing a bigger role in the events that unfold within the MedSoc calendar. The upcoming talent show and the annual panto is sure to keep us busy for a few months. Myself and my roommate are considering setting up a website but it’s early days and I don’t want to reveal too much!
Now that i have a lot more spare time, I’ll be able to post a lot more and Stilettos and Stethoscopes will not be as dead as it has been in the past few months!
