The other night, myself and the girls decided to go to Manchester to do a bit of shopping. It was really nice to look forward to doing something fun after a long day of doing work. One of the main reasons I wanted to go was to pay a visit to the NARS stall in Selfridges…
Having a skin tone that has caused me grief over the years means that I can’t just pop into a beauty store and find a foundation that’s perfect for me. Years went by where I tried various different shades and even mixed the darker colours together so that it would match the tone of my skin. It was only until I got a job that I could actually spend more money and buy foundation that truly matched my skin. For about 5 years I’ve been using MAC NC50 studio fix foundation. Even though the colour was perfect, I wasn’t keen on the texture it left on my face.
Recently, a friend of mine introduced me to the NARS sheer glow range and I loved the finish it left on her skin. Once at the stall in Selfridges, I got a colour match for my skin (Macao) and I’m in love with the way it leaves my skin glowing. Not only is the texture exactly what I wanted but it leaves my skin looking flawless. The only problem is that it doesn’t give you a full coverage and it’s also a bit more expensive than my MAC foundation.
All in all, it has been a successful shopping trip!
