3000 words in obstetrics

This week and the next brings forth a break from hospital placement and rotations as we turn our focus back onto SSM. Back in November or so we had our first week which involved meeting with our convenor and coming up with a topic that I wanted to focus my literature research on. The question of my SSM this year is:

Is an elective caesarean the best option for a woman presenting with a singleton term breech? A review of the current methods of management

I’m surprisingly excited to get back into working on my SSM as it’s a topic that I find extremely interesting and is a specialty that is high on my list to pursue in the future. Seeing as I have two weeks before the deadline week in April; I’m aiming to hand in my first draft to the consultant obstetrician who’s my convenor by the end of next week.

I’m hoping to make another blog post in the near future with the results of my research, so keep your eyes peeled!
