8 weeks/2 months until I sit my third year exams. It has come round so quickly! Since coming back to university after Easter, I’ve had a pretty chilled out month with lots of exciting things happening. Most of which involved coming down south to London to spend more time with my family and do a lot of dancing. After having a difficult few weeks before Easter, I genuinely feel like a different person right now. I have a lot to thank for that…
My girls have been so good to me over this period of time and I feel a lot closer to them than I did before. My flat mate has been especially helpful to me. She was there when I needed a good cry and also to turn things into a joke when I needed to take my mind off things and have a good laugh.
Spending more time with my family has been so good for mental health. Being so far away from them means that it takes extra effort to stay in touch and feel like a part of the crazy family I have. My cousin has been an absolute gem as well – she has given me a lot of advice and was always there when I needed her. My relationship with her has definitely improved for the better and I’m hoping we get closer and closer as time goes on.
My faith in God has grown stronger. Praying to my creator has helped me a lot and just like before, he’s still got my back which is so reassuring! I guess that brings me to the whole point of this blog post.
I can’t revise in silence as I find it very distracting. I have found that playing worship songs have really helped me concentrate and have made me feel so good about myself. Here’s a list of some of favourite artists that I like to listen to:
- Trip Lee
- Andy Mineo
- Sho Baraka
- Papa San
- Chris Tomlin
- Da T.R.U.T.H
- Mia Fieldes
- Bethel Music
I hope the exam season is treating you all well. Don’t forget to look after yourself. Make sure you eat well, sleep enough and take good care of yourself.
