The last few weeks have been tiring both mentally and physically. I have been pretty busy with dance rehearsals for Just Bollywood and now that it is over, I am having difficulties with figuring out what I should do with all my spare time. To be honest, I have a 2500 word essay to start which is due in on the 15th of December and I have not even started the reading for that yet so having free time is a bit of a blessing at the moment.
Prepping for the dance competition has definitely taken its toll. Imperial takes everything seriously and JB was another thing that is not to be taken lightly. Rehearsals have been long, from about 6 until midnight pretty much every day for the past 6-7 weeks. On top of that, I injured my ankle pretty badly about a week before the show which was frustrating because I was afraid that I would not be able to perform to the best of my ability.
The day of the competition was a blur. We arrived as a team at Logan Hall at 9 am and after stage run-throughs, everyone began the long process of getting ready to go on stage. 9 university teams were crowded in one hall and some teams played a pretty good job of trying to intimidate other teams by chanting/yelling etc…
We placed second which was great considering our mix stopped halfway through our set. I had so much fun performing on stage and the Imperial College crowd were incredible.
Now that the competition is over, I can finally get back to work and focus on my BSc!
